I MISS IT!

It was my style to sit on the desk and listen the proffesor. It's the most comfortable style on this earth! :P

Instead of studying exams, we were brave enough to go to parties. ( The next day i was going to have an exam and i passed it :)

After the class, we went shopping with Aynur. ( Right-A classmate from Uni.)

Diğdem (left) and i were moving to our new flat and we were very tired.

A birthday celebration of the girl next to me with red hair.-In Sakarya.
This is a photo from last year. (On the left is me and on the right is my flat mate Diğdem) We were turning back to Istanbul for weekend.

This morning i came to work in a tired and sleepless mood as usual and couldn't find much thing to do urgent and mentioned my undergraduate days for 5 minutes. I think i'm missing my days while i was a university student. No responsibility, no obligation to wake up early for class (actually there were, but it depended on your mood and nothing happened if you missed 3 class; at least you were not fired :)) When you were sick, you could take doctor report not for just 1 day but 3 days at least and proffesors never grumbled.

It was easier to spend your pocket money because it was not you who earns it. You could lie your parents and beg for some more money :) And they feel pity for you and send the money. I was studying in Sakarya University and it was 2 hours far from Istanbul-my hometown- and that's why first years i was staying in student dormitory but some time later i started to having arguments with manage of dormitory and decided to rent a flat with 3 girls in my room.

Then we started to learn what responsibility mean! :P

Bills, kitchen expenses, flat rental and getting along well together... You know sometimes you even can't stand your family member, right? But when you come together 4 different people who don't have any blood relationship with each other, it's different. You shout, you slam the door, you threat...But you see them more often than you see your family and these friends become your family anymore.

Fights, jealousy,misunderstandings...Whatever! I wish i could be a student again.

Working life is too cruel. Noone helps or respects each other. But i remember my undergraduate days full with help while cheating in exams, shoulders when you cry because you break up with your bf ,when you're broke an offer comes from your friends for some money or when you make up and get dressed for a date, friends around you and tell their opinion to feel yourself beautiful and good!
I miss each corner of ex-flat in Sakarya, I miss each stone of its streets, my friends, breakfasts...

ABOUT GREEK AND SPANISH

Today i wanna share something with you which may sound as something silly for the majority of you ! :)
I always loved languages and it's one of my interest to find out "mmm which language is this" when somebody is speaking near, behind or infront of me :) And it just takes a few seconds to catch it. Since my childhood i've been keen on Greek language and when i hear a Greek song in shopping centres, in cafes or on the radio i stop and give ear to the song because it takes me and wings somewhere else!...

The thing i say is sometimes i confuse Spanish or Portuguese with Greek. It happened to me many times. For example when somebody in the street speaks Spanish very fast, it sounds to me as Greek, i don't know why :) Maybe it's because the speed of the speech, ha? And same happens when the Greek is being spoken in somewhere.

I guess both languages don't have any companion word between each other. Maybe in Greek there are words taken from Latin language but i don't mean the single words. I just mean the sentences or phrases that are homologous. Interesting! :)

Greek can mesure swords with Russian, in my opinion; for having a similar alphabet, right? One of my colleage can speak Russian and she says "i can read Greek but i don't understand even a word" :) And i think it's easier to read Greek with big letter as they're more understandable!

And about Spanish or Porteguese...:) Years ago i met with a guy and i asked him " I love your language, Spanish" and he told me in a blaming way "I'm from Portugal and we have a language named Portuguese" :) I went completely bright red and shy!

But even now when somebody speaks near me, i can't understand the difference between Portuguese and Spanish! But i think they can understand each other, right ? :P

By the way, i've just watched the movie "Vicky Christina Barcelona" and admired Penelope Cruz 1 more time! I think her mother tongue is Spanish and it sounds great when she is fighting with the other characters in the movie!

Have a nice week guys!
Hugs!...

WHAT DOES POLITICS MEAN ?

A secondary school student asks his dad :

- Dad, our teacher wanted us to search about what does politics mean. Could you tell me what does politics mean?

Dad tries to find an appropriate answer to son's question and says :

-Look dear, i want you to keep the words in your mind which i'm gonna tell you, ok? I am a salary earner, we call this as capitalism , it's your mother who decides how to spend our money and we call this as government . In fact both your mother and i endeavour for you ; you're folk. The nanny who looks after your little brother is working class. And think that your brother is the future . This is enough for now to learn, tomorrow in the breakfast i'm gonna teach you what politics mean.

The son keeps them in his mind and goes to bed. But at midnight he wakes up owing to his brother's cry. When he goes to near him he sees that he's soiled. He goes his mom's room but she sleeps deeply and doesn't wake up. Then he goes to nanny's room and he sees that dad and nanny is making love and don't care about him.

There's nothing to do with him and he goes back to his bed.

Next day in the breakfast, he says tell his dad :

-Dad, i understood what politics mean.

Dad says :

-Really? Tell me what's it?

-Capitalism f*cks working class and by the way the government is sleeping. Nobody cares about folk and the future is in sh*t...

WE LOVE YOU CHAVEZ !!!

I've just been surprised when i read in E-newspapers that, president of Venezuella " Hugo Chavez" deported Ambassador of Israel and the Embassy employees from Venezuella .

This is a very bravery step even though other Arabian countries, UN and EU make any concrete step against this holocaust.
As you know, Chavez is challenging Imperialism and targets the development of his people and that's why he is loved by public a lot. He's been outstanding embargo of U.S.A. for years and gains people's appreciation. In my personal opinion, it's too bad to see Turkey in this situation. Our ministers are stuck in capitalism while Chavez is using all rights of socialism!

Thank you Chavez, as far as i read newspaper readers' comments, Turkish people strongly support him.

That's the best news i've heard today!!!

BUT WHY ?

Today when i was drinking my coffe outside at my lunch break, i saw a huge group of people walking and protesting something. When i looked at carefully, it was written in the banner that "Bar Association of Istanbul". All advocates wore their barrister's robe and protesting Israel shouting as " Murderer Israel, get away from Palastine"...

It was raining heavily but the group didn't stop their demonstration.

And yesterday night, i came across the same event. My friend and i went to the movie " Transporter 3" and when it finished we were leaving the cinema and we heard the same shouts protesting Israel. Some people were delivering a speech about this blood bath.

I've been in sorrow since a week deep in my heart... I can't stand seeing babies murdered, children lost their families and dreams and old people who pray God to stop this butchery on televisions. And i hate Hamas who uses Palastinien people as a shield to protect themselves.

Those people don't have electricity at their homes, water is limited, they even can't find blankets properly to get warm.

Humanitarian aids pouring from everywhere but those aids, helps don't reach Palastine.

I think this is the "doom" of a nation...

Too bad guys... Too tragic...
But why?

Turtle

4 turtles decide to go to picnic. They make their preparations and hit the trail. 1 year, 2 years,5 years, 10 years , in the end 30 years later they arrive at the picnic area. They put everything that brought with them to the table. But there's something they forgot. The bottle opener. Only solution is ; one of them will go home and pick the opener and come back. Naturally, the youngest turtle is chosen to go.

The youngest turtle says: "Ok i'll go but promise me! You'll eat any of these meals until i come back". The others accept it and youngest turtles goes.

Lapse of 20 years, one of old turtles feels sick and it's about to die. There's nothing to do with this old turtle. And then its friends ask him "is there any wish of before you die"?

And it says:

-"Altough we promised the young turtle, what if i eat some of those foods ?"

The other turtles can't say no and accept its final wish. And say "ok you can eat".

But when the old turtle is about to eat the food, young turtle jumps out the tree and shouts :

" I knew it!!! I knew it... I'm not going!!!
