Republic of Cyprus' President Tasos Papadopulos has claimed that England-Turkey Strategic Association Agreement is illegal.
In the declaration which was delivered in Elefteros Tipos newspaper, it is said that Greek government felt indisposed from the Association Agreement that was signed between England and Turkey.
Papadopulos said : "We will overview our political, economical and juristic relations with England".
He also said that this agreement tramples all the contributions which England has for Cyprus. That's why it is illegal and it means England infracts its International contributions by signing this agreement.
When it is asked that whether Papadopulos will close the English military bases in island as a response, his answer was "This topic directs us to overview all of our relations with England, but we must think about closing the bases seriously considering all the circumstances and parameters".
He also claims that if all the isolations, which are applied to Turkish side are taken away, it will cause the island to divide.
