Karamanlis has been to Turkey before for various reasons but this one is the first official visit of him to Turkey. In his speech, Karamanlis emphasized that to support Turkey in EU, they want seminary for theological education open again in Halki island because it was closed in 1972 and Greek Patriachate open.
He also stressed that, there should be a union in Cyprus Island and not exist it as a political problem anymore.
Today, Kostas Karamanlis and Foreigner Minister of Greece Dora Bakoyanni visited mausoleum of Atatürk and wished peace between Turkey and Greece in his sentences.
Until now, deliberations between delegations of 2 countries and press conferences has passed in warmth.

well...:)i don't think about Karamanlis much but as far as i know, he is the rival of PASOK "Yorgo Papandreu"...But i don't think that he has a hard treatment about Turks.i need to be informed..i must ask you what do u think about this progress?:)
